Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Liddel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddel throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.

Johnson moves into the clinch.
Johnson has Liddel pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Liddel manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Liddel gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Johnson.
Johnson misses with a knee strike.
Johnson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Johnson tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Johnson trying to land knees to the body.
Liddel wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Johnson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Liddel smiles and moves away.
Chuck Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Johnson.
Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Liddel sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Johnson has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Liddel is landing a low percentage of strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Liddel throws a good cross that connects.
Liddel misses with a two punch combination.
Liddel with a hook.
Chuck Liddel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Johnson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Liddel scores with a jab.
Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Liddel is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Liddel circles away and we're back to standing.
Liddel lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Johnson out cold! Johnson is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Chuck Liddel!
