Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mongolia Heed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Jerks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Heed might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gentlelman. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mark Jerks was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Mongolia Heed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Jerks!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jerks shoots and misses

and Heed decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jerks's guard.
Heed content to stall in guard here.
Heed stands up over Jerks, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Heed throws a strike but Jerks rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jerks sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Heed's guard.

Jerks is looking for a kimura but Heed is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jerks to get the leverage.
Jerks trying to control the action but Heed is working from the bottom.

Jerks is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Heed is concentrating on defense, preventing Jerks from advancing position.

Jerks seems to be working for a kimura but Heed defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Heed counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jerks's guard now.

Heed knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jerks on the ground.

Heed controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Heed wants to control from the top but Jerks keeps moving.
Jerks avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Heed with a flurry of punches that miss.
Jerks controls Heed momentarily but Heed frees himself.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

so Heed counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Heed throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jerks works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Heed's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Jerks working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Heed.
Heed postures up and lands a big shot to Jerks's brow.
Heed throwing strikes but missing.
Heed has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Heed is looking to pass into half guard but Jerks pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Jerks is in guard.
Jerks won't allow Heed to get back to his feet.

Heed preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Jerks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jerks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Heed can't keep his opponent in guard - Jerks advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jerks is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Jerks!
