Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franklin Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lima comes into the arena with DMX - Ain't no sunshine blaring out of the sound system. Dos Santos has chosen eye of the tiger as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Douglas Lima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Franklin Dos Santos!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima lands a head shot.
Dos Santos scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Douglas Lima has been cut.
Lima will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lima lands a leg kick that knocks Dos Santos off balance momentarily.
Dos Santos with a lazy takedown attempt
and Lima counters with a low kick, right behind Dos Santos 's knee.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Dos Santos.
Lima swinging wildly here.
Dos Santos tries for a takedown but Lima circles away easily
and Lima counters with a leg kick.
Lima throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Dos Santos looks winded!
Dos Santos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Douglas Lima has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franklin Dos Santos.
Lima lands a jab-cross combination.
Lima throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dos Santos on the side of the head.
Lima lands with a big left! Dos Santos is wobbled badly! Lima comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Dos Santos to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Douglas Lima!
After the fight, Douglas Lima was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Franklin Dos Santos was interviewed post fight and said 'fuck you all.'.
