Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rocky McColgan!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horizon fakes a jab and throws a low kick but McColgan checks it well.
McColgan cracks a nice hook into Horizon's ribs.
Horizon misses with the combination.
Horizon moves out of range as McColgan strikes.
McColgan connects with a leg kick. Horizon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
McColgan thows a left - swing and a miss!
McColgan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
McColgan scores with a punch to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Horizon avoids the body shot from McColgan.
Evan Horizon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McColgan throws a low kick, looking for Horizon's leg but Horizon calmly moves out of range.
Horizon cracks McColgan with a good jab.
McColgan fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Horizon checks it well.
Horizon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Horizon lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McColgan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McColgan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Horizon.
Horizon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A shot to the liver by McColgan. Beautiful body shot.
McColgan moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
McColgan misses with a straight left.

McColgan lands a nice hook to Horizon's body. Horizon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Horizon is breathing heavily.
Horizon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McColgan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McColgan throws a body kick that misses.
Horizon throws the left hand but McColgan avoids the punch easily.
Horizon walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. McColgan checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Horizon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McColgan.
McColgan scores with a nice head shot.
McColgan lands with a cross.
McColgan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

McColgan cracks Horizon with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. McColgan has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Horizon to stand back up!


Horizon is rocked!
McColgan digs a good hook to Horizon's body.
Oh Horizon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Crack! McColgan connects with the perfect overhand right and Horizon falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for McColgan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rocky McColgan!
A relieved looking Rocky McColgan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
