The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thiaguinho fails with the takedown

and HuaHua counters with a shoot takedown. Thiaguinho fights it but they end up in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as HuaHua accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
HuaHua looking to sit in guard and control but Thiaguinho gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
HuaHua wants to sweep here but Thiaguinho controlling him for the moment.
HuaHua is looking to sweep but instead, Thiaguinho has passed into half guard.
HuaHua wants to improve his position but Thiaguinho is controlling well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
HuaHua wants to improve his position but Thiaguinho is controlling well.

Thiaguinho seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
HuaHua tries to roll over but Thiaguinho keeps him under control.
Thiaguinho slips a nice elbow through HuaHua's hands, connecting with HuaHua's forehead.

Thiaguinho decides to return to a standing position.
HuaHua misses with an attempted mid kick.
Thiaguinho takes a head kick and keeps coming.

HuaHua throws an elbow that misses. Thiaguinho uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in HuaHua's guard. Nice move by Thiaguinho!
Thiaguinho wants to control from the top but HuaHua keeps moving.
HuaHua bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Thiaguinho's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Thiaguinho looking for a triangle here. HuaHua is fighting it but it looks tight! Thiaguinho pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, HuaHua is tapping out - this one is all over!
