Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mister Spock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Young Il (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spock comes into the arena with Rolling Stones- 2,000 Light Years From Home blaring out of the sound system. Il has chosen RATM - Renegades of Funk as his entrance music. Mister Spock could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kim Young Il's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Il avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Il throws a body punch but Spock moves out of range.
Spock swings widly with a right hand
and Il counters with a nice body shot.

Il shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Il showed some decent athleticism there.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Il content to control rather than advance.

Spock is trying to stand up here but Il is controlling him well.

Il is keen to just control but Spock is a slippery customer.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Il working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kim Young Il.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Spock is working to avoid the ground and pound but Il connects with a decent elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Il throws an elbow but Spock slips to the side and avoids it well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ground and pound from Il seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Spock fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Il has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Il connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Il stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Spock tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Il manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Spock throws a leg kick but Il sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Il thuds a left hand into Spock's body.
Il closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Spock misses with a hook. Il ducked under it nicely.
No luck for Il with that takedown attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Spock seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Il thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Spock's head.

Il stands and throws Spock's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Kim Young Il is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Il wants to lay and pray for a moment but Spock keeps working.
Il might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Spock haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Kim Young Il comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Il has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A relieved looking Kim Young Il thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Mister Spock was interviewed post fight and said 'it's a shame they outlawed the Vulcan death grip.'.
