Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Prince Pruitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Prince Pruitt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Junior!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior is looking to clinch but Pruitt is avoiding it.

Pruitt has closed the distance and engaged Junior in a clinch.
Pruitt has Junior pressed against the cage, preventing Junior from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Pruitt has Junior pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Pruitt pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Junior tumbling to the mat - Pruitt dives into Junior's guard.
Pruitt's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Junior had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pruitt defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pruitt is looking to stand up but Junior won't let him.
Pruitt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Junior is bucking up trying to escape but Pruitt cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Junior is looking to reverse the position.
A lull in the action here as Pruitt stalls from top position.

Pruitt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Junior tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Pruitt easily slips into full mount!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Pruitt throws a push kick but Junior slaps the foot to one side.

Pruitt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Junior can do to turn this around?

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Prince Pruitt.
Well Pruitt has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
