Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dewayne Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ushman Haszan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Haszan looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Haszan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Newman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Haszan is taking a breather. Newman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Newman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Haszan is working away from the top position though.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Haszan is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Newman pushes Haszan off and gets back to his feet.

Haszan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well Haszan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
