Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Okabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nezu Nambara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nambara has chosen This Is Goodbye - Blue Foundation as his entrance music. Nezu Nambara will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okabe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nambara sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A punch combination from Nambara misses.
Nambara takes a swing at Okabe's ribcage but misses.
Okabe with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Okabe lands with a right hand.
Okabe gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Nambara misses with a looping left.

The fighters circle momentarily. Nambara darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Nambara rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Okabe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Nambara fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Okabe manages to avoid it.

A punch lands to the side of Okabe 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Okabe throws a hook but Nambara blocks it.
Okabe avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nambara jabs Okabe to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Okabe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Nambara is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Okabe has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Nambara is not content to let Okabe control the position.

Okabe wants to control for a moment but Nambara uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Okabe has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Nambara is in a horrible position here. Okabe smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nambara wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Okabe is landing with some decent strikes but Nambara is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Okabe cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Okabe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A looping hook to the body misses from Nambara. Okabe does a little dance to reset his feet.
Okabe tests Nambara's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Nambara looks to score with a jab to the body but Okabe is just out of range.
Okabe lands a nice shot that snaps Nambara's head back.
Nambara steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Okabe.
Okabe misses with a straight left.

Nambara's corner calls for a 1-2. Nambara obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nezu Nambara seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Nambara looks to land a combination but Okabe avoids it well.

Nambara takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Nambara throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Okabe counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Okabe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nambara with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Okabe wants to pass the guard but Nambara is defending well.
Nambara is staying active underneath Okabe, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Okabe escapes and gets back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Okabe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Nambara's head.

Okabe drops back looking for a leg! Nambara is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nambara manages to kick Okabe off! Okabe jumps back into Nambara's guard.
Okabe slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Okabe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nambara keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nambara is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Okabe has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Okabe cracks Nambara with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Nambara is still in real trouble! Can Okabe finish him?
Oooooh, big shot lands for Okabe! Nambara is hurt baaadly! Okabe is firing away with more strikes - Nambara is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
