Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gnome Chomsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jem Mace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chomsky's entrance music is System Of A Down - Sugar. A fine choice. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gnome Chomsky!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jem Mace!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chomsky misses with a hook.

Chomsky slips under a jab.
Chomsky swings for the body but Mace moves out of range.
Mace lands a slapping body shot.
Chomsky ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Jem Mace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Chomsky counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mace won't be happy with that.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Chomsky is looking to take a break and control but Mace is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Mace parries the strikes from Chomsky easily there. Chomsky is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mace to escape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mace sneaks out the side door and pushes Chomsky away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mace is trying to break free.

A frustrated look appears on Mace's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Chomsky rushes Mace and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mace is trying to break the clinch but Chomsky is controlling him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mace wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Chomsky lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Mace.
Chomsky is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Chomsky lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mace backwards.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gnome Chomsky dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Mace throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chomsky sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Mace tries to bum rush Chomsky with a series of wild strikes but Chomsky uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chomsky lands with a hook. Mace tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Mace shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chomsky's corner calls for a 1-2. Chomsky obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Mace takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Mace circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Chomsky. Mace falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Chomsky!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gnome Chomsky!
Gnome Chomsky is the new middleweight champion!
After the fight, Gnome Chomsky was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
