The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Nelson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Miller is fending him off so far but Nelson persists. Nope, Miller circles away and we're back to standing.

Miller throws a right hand that misses

and Nelson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Miller won't be happy with that.

Nelson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Miller has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Nelson but great work by Miller.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nelson prevents Miller from moving into mount.
Miller tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nelson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Miller controlling the pace.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Micky Miller.

Miller has Nelson pressed against the cage. He pushes Nelson back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Miller throws a beautiful elbow that sends Nelson crashing to the floor! Miller piles on the pressure with more strikes! Nelson is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
