Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris McAllister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goran Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris McAllister!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 49 - 1, fighting out of London, Goran Schwarzeneg!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McAllister is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Schwarzeneg's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

McAllister seems to be working for a kimura but Schwarzeneg defends the submission attempt.
McAllister scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
McAllister wants to take a breather but Schwarzeneg is having none of it.
McAllister thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
McAllister wants to control but Schwarzeneg is keeping him busy.
Schwarzeneg is in trouble now - McAllister has advanced to mount!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, McAllister cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McAllister controlling the pace for now.
McAllister's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Schwarzeneg wants to control but McAllister is having none of it.

Schwarzeneg felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McAllister lands a couple of good shots and Schwarzeneg has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

McAllister is persistently looking for the submission but Schwarzeneg is defending it well.

McAllister scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Schwarzeneg is looking for a way out.
McAllister has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McAllister is working the ground and pound. Can Schwarzeneg escape?
McAllister has Schwarzeneg flattened out and is raining down punches.
Schwarzeneg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McAllister. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McAllister has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Schwarzeneg has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McAllister tries to keep control of the position but Schwarzeneg is staying busy.

McAllister shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Schwarzeneg manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

McAllister is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Schwarzeneg can do to turn this around?

The strikes coming from McAllister are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Schwarzeneg is working to avoid the ground and pound but McAllister connects with a decent elbow.

McAllister is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Schwarzeneg knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Schwarzeneg throws a series of punches but McAllister moves out of range.

Schwarzeneg goes for a double leg but McAllister avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McAllister continues to drive forward.

Schwarzeneg dives in for a single leg takedown but McAllister sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Schwarzeneg stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Schwarzeneg wants it to stay on the feet.
Schwarzeneg tries to close the distance and clinch up but McAllister swats him away and circles back towards the center.

McAllister is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Schwarzeneg defends well.

Schwarzeneg is fighting to break McAllister's control of his arms but McAllister is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
McAllister shoots in but Schwarzeneg avoids the takedown attempt easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice takedown defense from McAllister. No joy for Schwarzeneg on that attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chris McAllister.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for McAllister, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
