The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smoove lands a right hook to the body.
Smoove moves into range and connects with a jab.
Nocon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Smoove.
Nocon gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Smoove is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nocon successfully pulls guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Nocon wants to stand but Smoove is controlling the position.
Nocon keeping full guard, as Smoove tries to pass.
Smoove controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Nocon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smoove gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Smoove trying to control but Nocon is working from the bottom.

Smoove trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Smoove drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Nocon manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Smoove has Nocon in his guard.
Smoove is trying to control the position but Nocon postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smoove looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nocon is one step ahead there.
Smoove is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Nocon sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Nocon trying to control the position from guard on top but Smoove is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nocon pushes down on Smoove's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Smoove closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nocon's guard.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nocon has closed the distance and engaged Smoove in a clinch.
Nocon wants a takedown but no success here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smoove's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nocon shoots for a takedown but Smoove saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Smoove bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nocon's guard.

Smoove is pushing down on Nocon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nocon is fighting to maintain full guard but Smoove has managed to sneak the leg through.

Smoove is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Nocon is doing well to control the position and prevent Smoove from advancing to side control.
Smoove is keen to just control but Nocon is a slippery customer.
Smoove is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nocon is just riding it out for now. Smoove eventually gives up the hold.

Smoove seems to be looking for submissions.

Nocon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Smoove is working away from the top position though.
Nocon is not content to let Smoove control the position.
Nocon gets back to full guard.

Nocon pushes a forearm under Smoove's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Smoove is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
