The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamara shoots for a takedown but Hammer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nakamara clinches with his opponent.
Hammer stops a takedown attempt from Nakamara.
Nice body punch from Hammer.
Nakamara's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nakamara defending well as Hammer loads up on a big left hand.
Nakamara drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hammer is trying to buck Nakamara off.
Hammer is being controlled here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammer is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hammer takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Nakamara has hold of Hammer's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hammer tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Nakamara cranks the arm and Hammer screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hammer, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Yoshido Nakamara!
