Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gunther Fontanta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Markku Huntti!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huntti misses with a wild body shot.
Huntti throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fontanta stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fontanta moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Huntti looks to score with a jab to the body but Fontanta is just out of range.
Huntti cracks Fontanta with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Fontanta looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Huntti finish him?
Huntti cracks a nice hook into Fontanta's ribs.
Fontanta could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Huntti connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Fontanta out cold! This one is over in a flash!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Markku Huntti!
After winning the bout, Markku Huntti thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
