Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Gump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gump comes to the cage accompanied by mama always said. On his way into the cage it seems that Forrest Gump has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Forrest Gump seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Forrest Gump!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
19 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Walter!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Walter is defended easily by Gump.
Walter takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Walter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Walter can't get the takedown.
Gump is struggling to control the position.
Gump stalling in the clinch but Walter improves position.
Walter is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Walter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gump tries to clinch but Walter moves out of range.
Gump connects with a solid leg kick.
Walter ducks right into an uppercut from Gump.
Gump has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

and Gump counters by clinching up.
Gump misses with a body punch.
Walter has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gump avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Forrest Gump has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Walter.
Walter manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gump pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walter is keeping the position for now.

Walter wants to stand and escape but Gump is having none of it.
Gump trying to control the position from guard on top but Walter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gump postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gump is looking to stand up but Walter won't let him.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Forrest Gump just wasn't active enough.
Walter fails with a takedown attempt.

Gump lands a jab to Walter's midsection.
A combination from Walter does no damage.
Walter misses with a double jab.

Walter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gump's waist but Gump gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walter off to one side.
Gump swats away the attempt to clinch by Walter.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gump shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Walter manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Walter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gump is controlling him.

Gump stops Walter from standing up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Forrest Gump wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Walter closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Walter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gump sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Walter somewhat.
Gump throws a front kick aimed at Walter's knee but Walter avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gump misses with a body shot.
Walter fails to land the takedown.
Gump scores with a leg kick.
Peter Walter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walter takes one on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A cross from Gump lands.
Walter gets the takedown into side control.
Gump sneaks back into half guard.
Gump is trying to maintain the position but Walter is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gump is staying active underneath Walter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Walter is looking for submissions but instead, Gump has regained full guard.
Gump controls Walter momentarily but Walter frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Forrest Gump dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Walter on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Walter closes the distance and clinches up with Gump, looking for a takedown. Walter pushes Gump against the cage but Gump circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Peter Walter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Walter looks to clinch
and Gump counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Gump fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Walter.
Gump dives in for a single leg takedown but Walter sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Walter is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gump is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Walter to the mat. Walter regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gump postures up in Walter's guard and throws a big left but Walter blocks it.
Walter can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gump controls the pace.
Walter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Gump wants to control from the top but Walter keeps moving.

Walter is looking to stand back up but Gump counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Walter.
Gump is keen to just control but Walter is a slippery customer.
Gump not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Walter is trying to stand.
Gump is looking to take a break and control but Walter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gump wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Walter uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Gump won't allow Walter to get back to his feet.
Walter scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gump chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Gump is looking to slow Walter down with leg kicks.
Gump is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Walter is breathing heavily.
Gump lands a big head kick that sends Walter tumbling to the mat! Gump takes a step backwards and waves Walter back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Walter is rocked!
It looks like Peter Walter has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gump feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Walter collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
