Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Junior Duarte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phreak Nakkan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duarte comes to the cage accompanied by Shabba Ranks (Shabba Remix). Nakkan has chosen Voodoo as his entrance music. Junior Duarte has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Junior Duarte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phreak Nakkan!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duarte shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Nakkan counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Duarte is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Duarte gets a double leg takedown into Nakkan's guard.
Nakkan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Nakkan looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Duarte distracts Nakkan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duarte slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Duarte tries to move to full mount but Nakkan actually manages to regain half guard.
Nakkan manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Nakkan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Nakkan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Nakkan is looking to stand up but Duarte won't let him.
Duarte might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Duarte has an active guard here but Nakkan has managed to pass into half guard.
Nakkan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Duarte is trying to maintain the position but Nakkan is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Duarte is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nakkan pulls his head out easily.
Nice strikes from Nakkan there.
Nakkan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Nakkan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Duarte is just riding it out for now. Nakkan eventually gives up the hold.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nakkan is trying to control. Duarte wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nakkan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Duarte sees it coming and defends easily.
Nakkan stands up from half guard.
Duarte instigates a clinch.
Nakkan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nakkan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Duarte on his heels. He'll look to pass Duarte's guard now, I'm sure.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nakkan looking to sit in guard and control but Duarte gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Duarte throws a big right hand that misses.
Duarte pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nakkan is keeping the position for now.
Nakkan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Duarte. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Duarte works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Nakkan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nakkan tries to kick Duarte off but Duarte keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phreak Nakkan dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Nakkan drives through with a takedown into guard.
Duarte looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Nakkan puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Nakkan is looking to take a break and control but Duarte is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Duarte is defending against the submission attempts here by Nakkan.
Nakkan trying to control from Duarte's half guard. Duarte has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Nakkan looking to sit in guard and control but Duarte gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Duarte pushing down on Nakkan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Duarte thows a huge punch but Nakkan dodges it nicely.
Duarte seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Nakkan is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
