The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guzman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Shephard counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Mike Guzman has been cut.
We've been hearing reports that Shephard has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Shephard throws a chopping leg kick but Guzman manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Good exchange - Shephard coming out on top.
Guzman misses with a takedown
and Shephard counters with a one-two to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Oooooh!!! Shephard has knocked Guzman down with a huge combo! Shephard steps away and waves a wobbly Guzman back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Guzman avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Shephard cracks Guzman with a hook to the temple - Guzman is on wobbly legs here! Shephard swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Guzman falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Shephard wins by TKO!
