The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fulcher is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Nevsky is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fulcher sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Fulcher tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nevsky swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A bone on bone clash there as Fulcher blocks the leg kick.
Fulcher has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Nevsky is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Nevsky fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fulcher avoids it really well and circles away.

Fulcher seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Fulcher is looking to stand up but Nevsky isn't so interested in that idea.

Nevsky postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Nevsky trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Fulcher manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Fulcher got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nevsky has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fulcher has managed to get both his arms back between Nevsky's legs - danger averted.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
