Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Stan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manhoef comes to the cage accompanied by The Prodigy - Take Me To The Hospital . Greg Stan will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Melvin Manhoef!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Greg Stan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stan shoots for a takedown but Manhoef saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Manhoef defends well and Stan ends up having to push Manhoef into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Stan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Manhoef pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Melvin Manhoef has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Stan.
Stan is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Manhoef is defending well.
Manhoef prevents a takedown attempt there.
Manhoef will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Stan up against the cage.

Stan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Manhoef looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Manhoef stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Manhoef wants it to stay on the feet.

A nice inside leg kick there by Manhoef. That's going to slow Stan down.
Stan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
No luck for Stan with that takedown attempt.
Stan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Greg Stan will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Stan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Stan shoots in looking for a takedown. Manhoef tries to sprawl out of it but Stan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Manhoef manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Manhoef goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Stan shoots in for a takedown but Manhoef shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Melvin Manhoef is winning the standup battle so far.
Manhoef throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Stan shoots in and drives through. Manhoef sprawls well.
Manhoef swings for the body but Stan moves out of range.
Stan takes a swing at Manhoef's ribcage but misses.
Stan avoids the body shot from Manhoef.
Good leg kick by Manhoef there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Manhoef misses with a body shot.
Stan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Stan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Manhoef.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Manhoef lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


Stan is rocked!
Manhoef steps in with a hook that catches Stan right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Manhoef follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Stan looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Melvin Manhoef!
Melvin Manhoef decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
