Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksanteri Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Blane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karelin comes to the cage accompanied by CCCP. Blane has chosen Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aleksanteri Karelin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonas Blane!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karelin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Karelin lands in his opponent's guard.

Karelin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blane swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Blane loads up on a big right hand but Karelin slips the punch.
Blane moves out of range as Karelin strikes.

Blane uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Karelin.

Karelin swings for the body but Blane moves out of range.
Blane throws a right and a left that both miss.
Blane throws a head kick that misses.
Blane throws a low kick but Karelin avoids it.
Karelin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Blane throws a sloppy head kick and Karelin moves out of range easily.

Blane tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Jonas Blane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Karelin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Karelin throws an overhand right that lands on Blane's shoulder, as Blane tries to avoid the shot.

Blane throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Karelin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Karelin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Blane defends it nicely.
Blane throws a sloppy head kick and Karelin moves out of range easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Karelin.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Karelin throws an elbow but Blane slips to the side and avoids it well.

Jonas Blane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some bone on bone action there as Karelin checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Jonas Blane is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Karelin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Blane throws out a leg kick but Karelin moves out of range and Blane only half commits.
Blane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Karelin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Blane is staying active underneath Karelin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Karelin throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Blane tumbling to the canvas!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blane is still in real trouble! Can Karelin finish him?
Karelin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Blane for as long as he can get away with.
Karelin arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Blane's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Aleksanteri Karelin!
Aleksanteri Karelin decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
