Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pit Mies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mies's entrance music is Condemned 84 - Face the agression. A fine choice. Silva has chosen California Love as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mies pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Silva has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Silva tries to keep at a distance but Mies has taken the fight into the clinch.

Mies has Silva pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mies pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Silva tumbling to the mat - Mies dives into Silva's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mies gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Silva is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mies can't fight it off and eventually Silva manages to take the fight to the floor. Mies looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Silva tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mies defends well and Silva ends up having to push Mies into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Silva shoots in for a takedown but Mies shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Mies decides to stand and escape the position.
Pit Mies seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Mies or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

Pit Mies opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
