Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Mattews!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mattews shoots in looking for a takedown but Snow manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mattews's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mattews throws a hook to the side of Snow's head but Snow sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mattews misses with a wild body shot.
A head kick misses from Mattews.
Mattews throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Snow sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Snow defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mattews.
Snow circles away from the clinch attempt
and Snow counters with a leg kick.
Mattews shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Snow as he jumps to the side.
Jon Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Mattews.

Mattews tries to clinch but Snow moves out of range.

Mattews closes the distance and clinches up with Snow, looking for a takedown. Mattews pushes Snow against the cage but Snow circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Mattews shoots for a double leg takedown but Snow sprawls well. He's pushed Mattews's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mattews shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Snow but Snow pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Snow looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Snow slaps away a takedown attempt from Mattews, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mattews scores with a jab. Snow acknowledges it with a nod of the head.


It looks like Jon Snow has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Snow enables Mattews to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Snow manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mattews trying to control the position from guard on top but Snow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Snow is working an open guard so Mattews takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Mattews tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Snow was well out of range. Poor timing from Mattews.

Mattews is looking to clinch but Snow is avoiding it.
Snow moves out of range of the body kick from Mattews.

Mattews breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Snow counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mattews thinking.

Mattews tries to close the distance and clinch but Snow swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Snow slaps away a takedown attempt from Mattews, before circling back to the center of the mat.

A decent looking cross lands there for Mattews.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mattews, as that shot connected.
No joy there for Mattews, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Snow counters with a nice body kick.
Mattews is breathing heavily.
Mattews misses with a kick to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mattews is defended easily by Snow.

Mattews scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Snow has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mattews avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Snow is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Snow lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Mattews or not.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mattews tries to land knees in the clinch but Snow avoids the damage to the body.

Mattews escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mattews fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Snow to the ground. Mattews is now in Snow's guard.
Jon Snow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mattews throws a strike but Snow rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Snow works over Mattews with some ground and pound from guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jon Snow showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Mattews has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
