The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Atkins.

Atkins gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Atkins wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment.
Jones postures up in Atkins's guard and throws a big left but Atkins blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Atkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Atkins is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jones, into his guard.
Jones pulls Atkins in close to prevent any damage.

Bobbo Jones has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Jones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Atkins is trying to defend but Jones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Atkins is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Atkins avoid being mounted?
Jones looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
