Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sacana throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Palhares was covering up waiting for the punch and Sacana finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Sacana trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Palhares is adopting a defensive guard.
Palhares looking to control.
Palhares is pulling down on Sacana's head to control his posture.
Sacana wants to pass the guard but Palhares is keeping the position.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dominickoy Palhares wasn't active enough on the ground.
Palhares displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sacana.
Palhares looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Sacana fails with a takedown attempt.
Palhares bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sacana sneaks back into half guard.

Palhares throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Sacana is in trouble now - Palhares has advanced to mount!
Sacana slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Sacana's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Sacana is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Palhares's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Palhares's back!
Sacana throwing strikes and Palhares squirms under the pressure, ending up mounted.

Sacana cracks Palhares with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Palhares keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sacana drops a big elbow. That's hurt Palhares! More shots from Sacana and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

A very excited looking Torrelio Sacana made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
In defeat, Dominickoy Palhares stepped up to the mic, saying 'great fight'.
