Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Freedom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Jayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freedom comes to the ring accompanied by Johnny Freedom. Jayne is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Doors-People Are Strange . The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Patrick Jayne!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freedom fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Jayne lands with a straight right. Freedom didn't see that one coming.
Freedom uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jayne.
Jayne lands a head shot.
Jayne fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jayne misses with a straight left.

Johnny Freedom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some bone on bone action there as Jayne checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Freedom tries to close the distance and clinch but Jayne swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jayne is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Freedom sees it coming and defends easily.

I was talking to Freedom's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Freedom takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Jayne lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jayne tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Freedom manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Freedom lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jayne has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jayne and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Freedom is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Jayne rolls with it to try and escape but Freedom cranks on the arm and Jayne is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
