Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escalda blocks a head kick by Santos.
Escalda is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Escalda looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Santos darts in looking for a takedown but Escalda gets double underhooks and turns Santos into the cage.

Santos has hold of one of Escalda's legs. Escalda is fighting the takedown attempt but Santos gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Escalda looking to hit a scissor sweep but Santos is one step ahead there.
Santos with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Santos's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Santos controlling from the top position.
Santos postures up in Escalda's guard and throws a big left but Escalda blocks it.

Santos stands up from Escalda's guard - Santos perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Escalda gets caught napping as Santos dives in and scores a takedown. Escalda manages to retain guard.
Santos throws a big elbow that misses.
Santos is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Santos decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Santos throws a right hand that Escalda ducks under and follows up with a left that Escalda also avoids with ease.
Escalda takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Santos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Santos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Santos is trying for a kimura here. Escalda looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Santos wins by kimura!
