Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francois Duvalier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rockford Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duvalier comes into the arena with Haitian National Anthem blaring out of the sound system. Knight has chosen The Stars that Play with Laughing Sams Dice by Jimi Hendrix as his entrance music. Rockford Knight has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Francois Duvalier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rockford Knight!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duvalier swings widly with a right hand
and Knight counters with an outside leg kick.
Knight tries to close the distance and clinch but Duvalier swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Duvalier throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Duvalier throws a big shot that misses.
Duvalier thows a body shot but no joy.
Duvalier is looking to clinch but Knight is avoiding it.
Duvalier waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Knight.
Knight lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Duvalier swings away with a body shot that misses
and Knight makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Duvalier has been working on his boxing with his coaches at CW's Elite Kung-Fu Academy in the buildup to the fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Duvalier takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Knight dodges the punch combination from Duvalier.
Knight scores with a nice body kick.
Duvalier is breathing heavily.
Knight lands with a thumping leg kick.
Knight cracks a nice hook into Duvalier's ribs.
Knight cracks Duvalier with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Knight has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Duvalier to stand back up!
Duvalier is rocked!
Knight lands a nice shot to the body.
Oh Duvalier is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Knight lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Duvalier up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Knight from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Duvalier's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rockford Knight!
During a confident post fight interview, Rockford Knight thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
