The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

letting Hess counter with a right hand.
Hess lands a slapping body shot.
Hess connects with a jab.

It looks like Jorge Santos has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hess connects with an inside leg kick.
Hess throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Santos looks winded!
Hess comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hess thuds a left hand into Santos's body.
Santos drops his hands momentarily. Hess doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Santos staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Santos doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

After winning the bout, Jon Hess thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
