Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richie Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicola Cardinale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Immigrant Song. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

No joy there for Cardinale, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Cardinale shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lewis sprawls well. Lewis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cardinale gets slowly back to his feet.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lewis lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cardinale has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cardinale and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That was a close round but I would say that Richie Lewis will probably get the nod.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Cardinale crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lewis - the referee stops the clock and Cardinale gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lewis. Cardinale manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Richie Lewis decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
