Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Souza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vladimir Ignatov!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ignatov's waist but Ignatov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Souza off to one side.
Ignatov fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Souza shoots in for a takedown but Ignatov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Souza tries to close the distance and clinch but Ignatov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Souza shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ignatov as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Souza. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ignatov darts in and clinches Souza up against the cage.
Souza throws an elbow but it misses.
Souza is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ignatov is defending well for now.

Souza is trying to drag Ignatov to the mat but Ignatov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Souza has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Souza chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ignatov can pounce on him.

Souza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ignatov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Souza throws a strike but Ignatov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Vladimir Ignatov wasn't active enough on the ground.
Ignatov stuffs the takedown attempt from Souza. Souza gets slowly back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ignatov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ignatov connects with a leg kick. Souza looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Souza just misses with a elbow thrown towards Ignatov's brow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Souza is trying to pull guard but Ignatov has him pressed against the cage.

Ignatov dips to his left and cracks Souza with an uppercut!
Ignatov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ignatov throws a head kick that half lands.
Souza takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ignatov delivers a nice body kick.
Souza shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ignatov but Ignatov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Souza has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ignatov finds it's way round the side to connect with Souza's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ignatov has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. So far he's outscoring his opponent in the clinch so it seems to have been worthwhile.

With the fighters up against the cage, Souza throws an elbow but misses.

Souza jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ignatov walks away with a smile on his face. Souza gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ignatov lands a nice hook to Souza's body. Souza takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Good leg kick by Ignatov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

It looks like Jake Souza has been cut.
Souza on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Ignatov moves into range and clinches up with Souza.

Souza is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Ignatov keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Ignatov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Souza looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Souza moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Jake Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
