Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jhar Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen Xenon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jhar Slice could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Owen Xenon's chin.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Xenon darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Xenon wants to pass the guard but Slice is defending well.

Slice makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Nice takedown defense from Xenon. No joy for Slice on that attempt.
Slice tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Xenon defends well and Slice ends up having to push Xenon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Xenon is looking to control Slice's arms but Slice gets an underhook and turns him. Now Xenon has his back to the cage.

Xenon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Slice uses from the top position.

Slice dives in and grabs Xenon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Xenon pushes down on Slice's head and hops out.

and Xenon counters with a nice uppercut.
Slice shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Xenon sprawls well. Xenon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Slice gets slowly back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Xenon has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Slice is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Xenon yanks on the arm and Slice is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Xenon.
