Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafal Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace's entrance music is Sandaless - Wojownik. A fine choice. Munoz is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Champions. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rafal Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marc Munoz!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Munoz clinches.

Wallace lands a takedown into guard.
Munoz wants to sweep but no luck.
Wallace has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Munoz is trying to control the position but Wallace postures up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Munoz working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Munoz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Wallace tries to hold on but Munoz postures up.
Munoz connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Munoz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Wallace manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Wallace is not content to let Munoz control the position.
Wallace tries to improve position but can't.
Munoz is looking to take a break and control but Wallace is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Munoz passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Wallace!
Wallace tries to control the position but Munoz now has his back.

Munoz is punishing Wallace with some ground and pound.
Munoz wants to control but Wallace is keeping busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Munoz is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Wallace is trying to get back to his feet but Munoz has full control of the position and if anything, Wallace has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Munoz is keen to just control but Wallace is a slippery customer.
Wallace tries to roll over but Munoz keeps him under control.
Munoz is trying to control the action in half guard but Wallace is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Wallace throws a strike from the bottom but Munoz passes into side control!

Wallace is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Munoz off and has taken his back!
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Wallace.

Wallace patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Munoz tries to escape but Wallace has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Wallace has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Munoz controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Wallace has the hooks in. Munoz is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wallace doesn't have the hooks in and Munoz manages to turn into his guard.

Wallace working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Munoz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Munoz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Munoz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Munoz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wallace is trying to defend but Munoz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Munoz closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wallace makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wallace.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Wallace is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Munoz frees his head nicely. Oh but Wallace has switched to an armbar! Munoz is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
