Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Reece Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buretta Gali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buretta Gali acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Reece Paul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Buretta Gali!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gali just misses with a punch to the body.
Paul steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gali.
Gali misses with a hook.
Paul defending well as Gali loads up on a big left hand.
Paul keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Paul has a takedown stuffed.
Paul looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Paul keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gali.
Gali misses the jab.
Gali is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Paul.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gali enables Paul to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gali manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Paul is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gali is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Paul throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gali was covering up waiting for the punch and Paul finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Paul drops back looking for a leg! Gali is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gali manages to kick Paul off! Paul jumps back into Gali's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gali can do anything to dispel that myth.

We're going to have a standup here because Reece Paul wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Paul uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gali.
Gali throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Paul counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Gali really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Paul. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Paul loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Paul has instead reached around Gali's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Paul arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Reece Paul!
