Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toby Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kay Ector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ector has chosen Monster! as his entrance music. Kay Ector is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Toby Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kay Ector!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A decent looking cross lands there for Ector.
Ector ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Young moves away.
Young tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Ector counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Young on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Ector works the jab nicely.
Young shoots for a takedown but Ector saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ector ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Young is breathing heavily.
Ector scores with a hook to the body. Young takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Ector cracks a nice hook into Young's ribs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ector lands a body shot.
Ector cracks Young with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Ector feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Young sprawling to the canvas! Young rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Ector finish him?!

Young is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Young glances at the clock... BAM! Ector nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Young crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Young is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kay Ector!
After winning the bout, Kay Ector thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
