Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guan Yu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yu comes to the cage accompanied by Tale of Three Brothers. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yu moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Yu looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hendricks avoids a punch combination nicely.
Yu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Guan Yu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yu throws a combination that misses
and Yu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Yu lands with a hook. Hendricks tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Yu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
This has been an exciting period of action!
No joy there for Yu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oooooh!!! Yu has knocked Hendricks down with a huge combo! Yu steps away and waves a wobbly Hendricks back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like James Hendricks has been cut.
Yu connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Hendricks! He's out on his feet! Yu rushes in and drops Hendricks with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Guan Yu!
