Hoi comes to the cage accompanied by Baby Alice - Pina Colada Boy (D-Base Remix). Bzdunek has chosen Kilka ostatnich krokow as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fabian Hoi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Bzdunek!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bzdunek avoids the body shot from Hoi.
Hoi moves out of range as Bzdunek strikes.
Bzdunek shoots in for a double leg but Hoi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hoi misses with a body shot.
Bzdunek scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Hoi digs a good hook to Bzdunek's body.
Hoi jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hoi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A cross from Hoi lands.
Hoi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bzdunek moves away.
Bzdunek takes a shot right to the bread basket.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hoi scores with a punch to the head.
John Bzdunek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Bzdunek throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bzdunek misses with a hook. Hoi ducked under it nicely.
Bzdunek throws an overhand right that lands on Hoi's shoulder, as Hoi tries to avoid the shot.
Bzdunek misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hoi connects with a body shot that sends Bzdunek's belly button to the back.
Hoi is looking to wear down Bzdunek with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Hoi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hoi fails to land with a series of punches.
Hoi's corner calls for a 1-2. Hoi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Hoi drops Bzdunek with a beautiful combination! Bzdunek stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hoi is looking for the KO!


Bzdunek is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bzdunek takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Bzdunek is still on wobbly legs! Can Hoi finish him?
Bzdunek moves out of range of the strikes.
Hoi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hoi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Hoi fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bzdunek on the side of the head.
Bzdunek stuns Hoi with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hoi misses with a few strikes there.
Bzdunek throws an overhand right that lands on Hoi's shoulder, as Hoi tries to avoid the shot.
Bzdunek has a takedown stuffed.
Bzdunek misses with a looping left.
Bzdunek seems to have recovered his senses.
Hoi slips under a jab.
Hoi throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bzdunek misses with a straight right.
Hoi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bzdunek has time to react.
Hoi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bzdunek.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hoi. Bzdunek does a little dance to reset his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bzdunek ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hoi scores with a shot to the body.
Hoi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bzdunek moves away.
Bzdunek connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Hoi stuffs the takedown attempt from Bzdunek. Bzdunek gets slowly back to his feet.
Fabian Hoi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Bzdunek.
Hoi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hoi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Bzdunek rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hoi counters with a stiff right hand.
Bzdunek has a takedown stuffed.
Hoi scores with a jab.
Bzdunek is trying desperately to land a takedown but Hoi is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Bzdunek.
Bzdunek slips under a jab from Hoi.
Bzdunek gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Bzdunek misses the shot to the body.
Hoi shoots in but Bzdunek avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bzdunek throws a hook to the side of Hoi's head but Hoi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bzdunek throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bzdunek slaps away a takedown attempt from Hoi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bzdunek slips a straight right by Hoi.
Hoi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hoi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bzdunek.
Hoi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bzdunek throws a jab when Hoi was well out of range.
Bzdunek avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hoi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bzdunek was well out of range. Poor timing from Hoi.
Hoi lands with a cross.
Bzdunek throws out a loose jab but Hoi uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hoi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bzdunek manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Bzdunek is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Hoi rolls with it to try and escape but Bzdunek cranks on the arm and Hoi is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). John Bzdunek!
John Bzdunek decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
