The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchelson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Animal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mitchelson missing with a left hand there. Animal was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mitchelson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Animal tries a head kick but it misses.

A decent looking cross lands there for Mitchelson.

Mitchelson tries to sprawl but Animal drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Mitchelson wants to get back to full guard.

Animal tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mitchelson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are battling for position here. Mitchelson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Animal seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Mitchelson wants to get back to his feet but Animal is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A jab from Mitchelson finds it's way through Animal's defenses.
Animal bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Mitchelson lands with a straight right. Animal didn't see that one coming.

Mitchelson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Animal should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mitchelson has tightened it up now! Animal should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
