Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Havener (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson's entrance music is The Prince. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 14 - 3, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrew Havener!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Havener rushes Anderson and presses him up against the cage.
Havener throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Anderson blocks it with crossed arms.
Anderson avoids the elbow strike from Havener, against the cage.
Havener with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Havener successfully pulls guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Havener pulls Anderson in close to prevent any damage.

Anderson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Anderson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Anderson throwing strikes but missing.
Havener managing to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Havener looking for a sweep. Not yet Havener, not yet.
Havener pulls Anderson in close to prevent any damage.
Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Havener is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Havener really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Andrew Havener hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Havener tries to clinch up but Anderson circles away and keeps his distance.

Anderson gets tackled into the cage by Havener. Havener maintains the clinch.

Havener breaks the clinch.

Havener breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Anderson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Havener misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Anderson.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Havener working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Havener struggles to land a body shot inside as Anderson controls his hands.
Havener tries to score a body lock takedown but Anderson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Havener is trying to drag Anderson to the mat but Anderson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Anderson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Havener is defending well.
Havener tries to land knees in the clinch but Anderson avoids the damage to the body.

Anderson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Havener is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Havener manages to break the clinch.
Havener tries to close the distance and clinch but Anderson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Havener fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Anderson, pushing him back against the cage.
Havener scores a nice knee to the body.
Havener prevents the takedown attempt.
Anderson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Havener after a bit of a struggle.
Havener tries a knee to the head but Anderson blocks it.
Anderson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Havener tries to land knees in the clinch but Anderson avoids the damage to the body.

Havener scores with a knee to the head.
Anderson can't get the takedown.
Anderson is breathing heavily.

Havener throws a knee to the head but misses.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Havener escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Havener lands the left hand.
Anderson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Havener drives through and clinches with Anderson against the cage.
Havener lands a big knee! That's hurt Anderson! Oh, he's all over the place! Havener lands another knee that sends Anderson to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrew Havener!
