Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Koji Murosaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenn Wauler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murosaki's entrance music is Now We Are Free. A fine choice. Wauler is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Good 'ol Boy. Glenn Wauler has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Koji Murosaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Glenn Wauler!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wauler thows a left - swing and a miss!
Murosaki ducks under a wild hook from Wauler.
Murosaki shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wauler sprawls well. Wauler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Murosaki gets slowly back to his feet.
Murosaki has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Nordic Top Team in the buildup to the fight.
Wauler misses with an uppercut

and Murosaki counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Murosaki.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Murosaki controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

enabling Wauler to counter with a crisp jab.

Murosaki avoids a kick to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Murosaki misses the target.
Murosaki moves away from the strike by Wauler.
Wauler just misses with a punch to the body.
Wauler goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Koji Murosaki has been cut.

Wauler misses with a straight right.
Murosaki throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wauler counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Murosaki shoots for a takedown but Wauler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wauler throws a leg kick but Murosaki sees it coming and moves out of range.

Murosaki fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wauler manages to avoid it.
Murosaki fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Koji Murosaki. That's going to take a lot out of him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Koji Murosaki will probably get the nod.

Murosaki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wauler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Wauler throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Murosaki sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Wauler leaves Murosaki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Wauler rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Murosaki moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Wauler lands a nice hook to Murosaki's body. Murosaki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

It looks like Glenn Wauler has been cut.
Wauler misses with a wild body shot.
Murosaki shoots for a double leg takedown but Wauler sprawls well. He's pushed Murosaki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Glenn Wauler seems to be getting the better of the standup.

An inside leg kick lands from Wauler.
Murosaki lands a lovely overhand right.
Murosaki uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Murosaki lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wauler throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

and Murosaki counters with a shoot takedown. Wauler fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Murosaki is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wauler's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wauler's back!

Wauler lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Murosaki!

Murosaki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Murosaki wants to hold on but Wauler pushes him away.

Koji Murosaki showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Murosaki, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Koji Murosaki tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
