Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edson Aldrete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Borkowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aldrete comes to the cage accompanied by Monster - Eminem. Igor Borkowski told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Igor Borkowski!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldrete misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Borkowski on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Aldrete throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Borkowski stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Borkowski feints and as Aldrete raises his hands in defense, Borkowski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Borkowski passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Aldrete knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Borkowski on the ground.
Aldrete is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aldrete is not content to let Borkowski control the position.
Borkowski working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Borkowski goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Aldrete rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Borkowski's guard! Nice work there by Aldrete!
Aldrete won't allow Borkowski to sweep him here.
Aldrete is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Borkowski is looking to stand up but Aldrete isn't so interested in that idea.

Borkowski has Aldrete pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Borkowski pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Aldrete tumbling to the mat - Borkowski dives into Aldrete's guard.

Borkowski swings around for an armbar but Aldrete sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Borkowski's guard.

Aldrete feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Borkowskis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Edson Aldrete is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Aldrete scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Borkowski doesn't seem bothered though.
