The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis misses with a double jab.
Davis lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Tamland dodges the punch combination from Davis.
Good work by Tamland as he checks the leg kick.

and Davis makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Tamland really felt that one!

Tamland throws a looping overhand right but Davis ducks down to avoid it.

Davis throws a half hearted mid kick.

Tamland throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Davis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tamland is in Davis's guard.

Tamland seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Davis for as long as he can get away with.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brick Tamland wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Tamland throws a shot from downtown. Davis moves away and avoids it.
Davis throws a combination. Tamland tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Davis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tamland. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tamland has an Americana. Davis didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Tamland is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Tamland hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
