Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Lester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz comes to the cage accompanied by CALIFORNIA LOVE by Tupac ft. Dr. Dre. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gabriel Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Bryan Lester!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lester gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Cruz.
It looks like Bryan Lester has been cut.
Cruz misses with the combination.
Lester motions for Cruz to come forward. Lester throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Cruz bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lester's head.
Cruz just misses with a punch to the body.
Lester keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lester drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lester would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Lester sitting in guard, not really doing much.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We've been hearing good reports from Cruz's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Cruz looking for a sweep. Not yet Cruz, not yet.
Cruz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Bryan Lester has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Lester gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Cruz looking to sit in guard and control but Lester gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Cruz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lester gets to his feet. Cruz looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Cruz with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Lester is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cruz drops Lester with a huge uppercut! Lester drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Cruz is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gabriel Cruz!
Gabriel Cruz decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
