Hurmio comes to the cage accompanied by Die for Metal. Lynn is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Pain. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tuomari Hurmio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carl Lynn!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Darius Henderson and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lynn drops Hurmio with a left and a right! Oh, Hurmio is hurt - Lynn dives into side control looking to finish!


Hurmio is rocked!


It looks like Tuomari Hurmio has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hurmio is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Oh Hurmio is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lynn tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Hurmio seems to have got his legs back now.

Lynn is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hurmio doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lynn.

Lynn is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Lynn is looking to take a break and control but Hurmio is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lynn throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hurmio to regain full guard.

Lynn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hurmio works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Lynn passes Hurmio's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Lynn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Lynn is trying to control the action in half guard but Hurmio is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hurmio regains full guard. Nicely done.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hurmio looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Lynn postures up in Hurmio's guard and throws a big left but Hurmio blocks it.
Lynn lands a couple of digs.

Hurmio is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Lynn rolls with it to try and escape but Hurmio cranks on the arm and Lynn is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tuomari Hurmio!
After the fight, Tuomari Hurmio was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Carl Lynn spoke after the fight, saying 'I tried.'.
