Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Helio Perrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Bautista Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres comes into a darkened arena with his song building. How I Could Just Kill A Man - RATM kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perrera blocks a head kick by Torres.
A slapping leg kick lands for Torres.
Torres throws out a leg kick but Perrera moves out of range and Torres only half commits.
Jose Bautista Torres seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perrera throws a jab when Torres was well out of range.
Torres shoots in and drives through. Perrera sprawls well.
Torres does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Torres dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Perrera. That did some damage!
Perrera throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Torres sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Perrera misses with a straight right.
Perrera ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Torres moves away.
Torres blocks a head kick by Perrera.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Torres.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Perrera wants to control but Torres postures up.
Perrera is trying to escape the position but Torres is controlling the position.

Perrera manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Torres felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Perrera is looking to take a break and control but Torres is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
