The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Awhem shoots in but no luck this time.
Awhem shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Maltravers defends it nicely.
Maltravers seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Maltravers fails in his attempt to clinch.

Maltravers closes the distance and clinches.
Awhem is looking to control Maltravers's arms but Maltravers gets an underhook and turns him. Now Awhem has his back to the cage.
Maltravers connects with a nasty looking knee right to Awhem's face.

It looks like Rhan Awhem has been cut.
Maltravers lands an elbow inside.
Maltravers unloads a knee to the mid-section. Awhem lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Maltravers just misses with a elbow thrown towards Awhem's brow.
Maltravers lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Maltravers lands a vicious elbow to the side of Awhem's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Maltravers tries to finish him with strikes but Awhem still seems able to defend himself so Maltravers steps back and lets Awhem get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.
