The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Jutras or perhaps it was just good defense by Mireno which made him look bad.
Nice takedown defense from Jutras. No joy for Mireno on that attempt.
Mireno shoots in for a takedown but Jutras shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jutras moves into the clinch successfully.
Jutras tries to score a body lock takedown but Mireno shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Mireno is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jutras is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mireno to the mat. Mireno regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jutras is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Mireno is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Mireno has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jutras can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jutras forces his way into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mireno is bucking up trying to escape but Jutras cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Jutras cracks Mireno with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mireno is still in real trouble! Can Jutras finish him?
Jutras drops a big elbow. That's hurt Mireno! More shots from Jutras and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
