Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lemy Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shayn Stryper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shayn Stryper has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lemy Waters's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lemy Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Shayn Stryper!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Stryper blocks the leg kick.
Stryper shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Waters defends it nicely.
Waters stuns Stryper with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Waters throws a low kick but it's checked well by Stryper.
Stryper takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Stryper doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Waters lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Stryper uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Waters.
Waters with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Waters tries a low kick but Stryper avoids it.
Waters lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Waters shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stryper's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Stryper is looking for a triangle but Waters pushes his legs off easily.

Waters is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stryper knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Waters looks up at the clock and then as Stryper takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Waters smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Waters wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stryper keeps working.
Stryper is trying to control Waters's posture but Waters avoids it.
Waters lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Stryper down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stryper takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Stryper gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Waters lands a nice shot to the head.
A nice elbow there by Waters.
Waters cracks Stryper with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Shayn Stryper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lemy Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Waters is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stryper can do to turn this around?

Waters is taking a breather. Stryper says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Waters looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stryper is looking for a sweep. Waters is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Waters takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Waters has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Waters is keen to just control but Stryper is a slippery customer.
Stryper is looking for a sweep. Waters is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Waters is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Stryper moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Waters content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Waters is in close to Stryper's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Waters is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stryper can't keep his opponent in guard - Waters advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Waters working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

A big shot lands for Waters! That's hurt Stryper! Will he recover? Waters fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

After winning the bout, Lemy Waters thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
