Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Hefner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustaf Lindback (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hefner's entrance music is Puff The Magic Dragon. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 17 - 1, fighting out of London, Hugh Hefner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Gustaf Lindback!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hefner defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lindback.
Lindback displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hefner.

and Lindback counters with a single leg into guard. Hefner didn't expect that.
Lindback is stalling in the full guard.
Hefner is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at EvolutioN MMA Acadamy & Gym ( 12 ELITE Coaches ) that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Lindback avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lindback works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hefner gets back to full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hefner keeping moving, preventing Lindback from controlling successfully.
Hefner trying to keep a closed guard but Lindback is proving a slippery customer.

Hefner is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Hefner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lindback gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lindback wants to control from the top but Hefner keeps moving.

Hefner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lindback doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lindback manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Lindback passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Hefner manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Lindback seems to be looking for submissions.
Lindback trying to mount his opponent but Hefner defends it.

Hefner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lindback is working away from the top position though.
Hefner wants to control the action here but instead Lindback manages to pass to full mount!

Lindback jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hefner is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hefner and Lindback has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Hefner gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lindback moves into full mount! Hefner won't be happy about that!

Lindback moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hefner has worked his arm free - good work by Hefner!

Lindback goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hefner has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lindback but great work by Hefner.

Hefner is looking to take a break and control but Lindback is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hefner tries for a kimura but Lindback is defending well.

Hefner is trying to get an arm triangle but Lindback is defending well.

Hefner working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lindback is trying to control Hefner's posture but Hefner avoids it.
Lindback tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hefner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hefner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lindback keeps working.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Hefner is working to tighten his grip on Lindback's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lindback has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hefner is really squeezing tight and eventually Lindback passes out! Hefner breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Hugh Hefner!
