Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keijiro Maeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maeda looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Johnson!
Johnson wants to control but Maeda postures up.

Maeda tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Maeda has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Maeda wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy.

Johnson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Maeda decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Maeda wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.

Johnson drops back looking for a leg! Maeda is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Maeda manages to kick Johnson off! Johnson jumps back into Maeda's guard.
Johnson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Maeda looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Maeda keeps moving.
Johnson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Maeda working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've been informed that Johnson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Johnson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Johnson drops back looking for a leg! Maeda is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Maeda manages to kick Johnson off! Johnson jumps back into Maeda's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Keijiro Maeda will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Johnson parries the strikes from Maeda easily there. Maeda is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Johnson to escape.

The referee asks Maeda politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Maeda prefers to stall for the moment though.
Maeda wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.

Johnson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Johnson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Maeda wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Maeda is trying to stick to Johnson's back but Johnson is turning into Maeda. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Maeda's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Johnson.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Johnson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Johnson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maeda has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Maeda's legs - danger averted.

Maeda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Maeda manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Johnson manages to get himself to full guard.

Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Maeda gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dwayne Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maeda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well Maeda has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
